Dryer Sparks Blaze At Golf Course Clubhouse In Westchester

Firefighters raced to a golf course clubhouse in Northern Westchester after a dryer fire filled the building with smoke.

The fire began inside a dryer at the Hudson National Golf Club's clubhouse in Croton-on-Hudson.

The incident happened in Croton-on-Hudson on Monday, Nov. 4 just before 8:45 a.m., when a blaze began inside a dryer at the Hudson National Golf Course's clubhouse, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.

Arriving firefighters found that the building was filled with smoke and quickly used a hose to put the fire out. Crews then stayed for around 90 minutes to ventilate the building. 

Luckily, the fire was contained to the appliance and no injuries were reported, the fire department said.
